The same lady who had surveyed the names for Dysertmore came back today with some from Donegal, from very, very close to the border. They are again from around a manor house, Dunmore House (on OpenStreetMap), to be precise.

She had added those fieldnames to OpenStreetMap herself, having taught herself by watching the tutorials on YouTube.

Most intriguing is the Fairy field, it would be interesting to know the explanation there. There is no “fairy fort” and doesn’t seem to have been one, at least not according to the British War Office map. I also couldn’t find the quarry refered to in the Southernmost field. The school house seems to be gone, but it was across the road from the field, next to the church.
